DJ James has been part of the Alaskan nightclub scene since 1998 and has played every major venue in Anchorage as well as various venues across the lower 48.

In addition to being a digital mixmaster, DJ James also has an extensive background and education… in public speaking, communications and marketing. He specializes in music entertainment, not artistic impression. His job is to entertain you and your customers, and/or make an impact to your bottom line.

In the fall of 2009, DJ James switched to the art of video mixing and now each show provides an audio and visual experience rarely found in Alaska. He has been the resident DJ at Rumrunner’s Old Towne Bar & Grill a total of nine years spanning from 1998 to 2004, and 2008 to current.

His sets are thought out,  yet flexible. They’re not about artistry or creating a sound never heard – but rather the opposite. He’s about creating a familiar mood and an atmosphere that inspires the audience, gets the crowd into the groove, and thus into the night for an evening to remember. Future Reign is owned and operated by DJ James and was started in June of 2008
